This lab scale platform shaker has a powerful yet quiet shaking mechanism thathas been designed for problem free continuous use.
Model SSL2 provides a linear reciprocating shaking action with an amplitude of20mm and speed range of 20 to 250rpm, ideal for extractions. It can be used inenvironmental chambers and CO2 incubators.
The cradle type platform has four rubber cushioned horizontal securing barswith quick release handles. They can be easily adjusted both vertically andhorizontally to hold most sizes and types of vessel, including flasks, bottlesand beakers. For example, they will accommodate the following Erlenmeyerflasks or bottles: 12 x 250ml or 9 x 500ml or 6 x 1000ml or 2 x 2000ml.
The main advantage of this cradle system is that it can accommodate differentsizes of vessel, a common requirement where shakers are used by differentpeople in the laboratory. Speed is fully variable and is set digitally forconsistency. The speed is microprocessor controlled and accurately maintainedeven over long runs. A digital built-in timer allows shaking times from 1 to999 minutes to be set. After the timer has counted down, the shaker stops andsounds an alert. Alternatively the unit can be set for continuous operation.
