This dedicated unit is designed to testgear teeth and other difficult to access applications. The 1740 isan economically priced hardness tester that is loaded with thesame features found on the base 1700 version. The 1740 hardnesstester is capable of measuring the surface hardness of a broadvariety of metals on flat and round surfaces. This instrumentcomes complete with a dedicated DL impact device, calibrated testblock and rugged carry case.
